poor finishing sinks Porto

Yet quickly as each solid scoring opportunity was squandered, as it this so often goes, Porto would rue those missed chances as they went on to lose 1-0 till Dynamo Kyiv in a crucial Champions League match.
Dynamo took the lead when Ukraine international Oleksandr Aliyev rocketed a free kick from thirty meters to the back of the net. With the lead Yuri Semin’s men padlocked the match down and whilst Porto controlled much of the play their were unable to penetrate the defensive juggernaut and level the match. With a chorus of whistles cascading through Estádio do Dragão the match ended with a chilling 1-0 loss. The loss end’s Porto twenty-five match unbeaten string at home during European competition and severely jeopardizes their hopes of advancing through to the group stage.
Porto returns to domestic league action this Saturday against Leixões.
