Porto defeats Leixões 1-0 in Taça de Portugal

Porto defeated Leixões 1-0 in Taça de Portugal Wednesday on the strength of Mariano González’ lone goal five minutes after the start. The goal erupted as Lucho González from the top of the box played the ball into Mariano González. Speeding in on the right side of the box he delivered a cross to Lisandro López near the center of the six but upon defending contact the ball came back to Mariano, to which he made no mistake as he sent the ball in. Following the goal the Dragões locked down the match and took the 1-0 victory.
