Porto v Paços de Ferreira match preview
By: j | February 19th, 2009With a Champions League match against Atlético Madrid on Tuesday, Jesualdo Ferreira is insisting the Azuis e brancos are focused on Saturday’s match against Paços de Ferreira.
“This match is, traditionally, difficult for Porto. Paços de Ferreira is in the Cup’ semi-final and has the fourth best attack in the league. They are a positive squad and their motivation will certainly be strong. Tacking in account all that and the fact that we want the three points, there’s no doubt it will be a very important match.
“The clash with Atlético de Madrid doesn’t affect our approach to this match. There will be plenty of time to think about it. Likewise, the match between Sporting and Benfica has nothing to do with our game. The outcome of that match is secondary for us and I don’t have any preference for that at all”
For the match Milan Stepanov, Cristian Rodríguez and Romanian international Cristian Săpunaru return to the Dragões squad list.
